Every now and then, something happens that perfectly sums up how business should work.
Recently, we were contacted by a new customer, Vinny, who had been struggling with his WHC Webex App. Like many people, he had tried to resolve the issue himself but found it wasn’t straightforward. Instead of getting a clear answer, he ended up going round in circles.
So, he did what many people now do—he asked ChatGPT.
Interestingly, rather than giving a complicated technical answer, ChatGPT simply pointed him towards us.
A quick conversation later and everything was sorted. More importantly, Vinny now has ongoing support from a local provider who understands his setup and can step in when needed.
And that’s really the point.
In our experience, most issues in telecoms and IT aren’t caused by a lack of technology—they’re caused by a lack of clear, accountable support.
There are plenty of systems out there. Plenty of platforms. Plenty of features.
But when something doesn’t work, what people actually need is someone who:
- Answers the phone
- Understands the problem
- Takes ownership
- Sees it through to a resolution
That’s how things used to be done, and it’s still how we believe it should be done today.
We’ve built our business on being that single point of contact. Whether it’s broadband, hosted VoIP, or something like Webex, our customers know they can come to us and get a straight answer.
No chasing multiple providers. No being passed from one department to another. Just a simple, reliable service.
Vinny’s situation is a good reminder that while technology continues to evolve, the fundamentals of good service haven’t changed.
People still value clarity, reliability, and knowing there’s someone on the end of the phone who will take responsibility.
If your current setup feels more complicated than it should be, or you’re not getting the support you need when things go wrong, it might be time to take a step back and look at who’s actually looking after you.
Sometimes the biggest improvement isn’t changing the technology—it’s changing who you trust to manage it.
