When someone tells me their internet is slow, I don’t start by checking speed.
I start by looking at usage.
Common causes of “slow broadband” include:
- Too many connected devices
- Cloud backups running during working hours
- Guest WiFi consuming bandwidth
- Old routers
- Poor internal cabling
- Weak WiFi coverage
Upgrading speed without diagnosing the cause can simply mask the problem.
It’s rather like fitting a larger engine without checking the brakes.
Often, a properly configured 300 Mbps connection will outperform a poorly managed 900 Mbps one.
The right solution begins with understanding how your business actually uses its connection.
Speed matters — but management matters more.
